Line Locating
The purpose of this course is to instruct new and experienced people the proper use and care of a pipe and cable locator.
Class Content:
- Different technologies used, what works, what doesn’t
- Theory of line locating
- Types of locating – how to use them for the best results
- Locating skills and how to apply them to a specific site
- Solving locate problems
- Site marking and documentation
- Safety
Students will complete a combination of class and hands on training at selected locations. This course is N.U.L.C.A. approved and is instructed by a certified trainer.
One-Day Rectifier School
The purpose of this course is an introduction for new technicians and operators. This course provides basic understanding of a typical cathodic protection rectifier, and how to read and adjust the rectifier safely.
Class Content:
- Basic Electricity DC (direct current)
- Basic Cathodic Protection
- Rectifier Construction
- Automatic Rectifiers
- Safety
- Reading and Adjusting Rectifier Output
- Basic Visual Troubleshooting
Upon request, we can also provide a short presentation on Pulse Rectifiers and SCR/Diode Bridge Testing.
Two-Day Rectifier School
The purpose of this course is an introduction for new technicians the basic understanding on what a typical cathodic protection rectifier is, how it works, and basic troubleshooting techniques.
