OCRC’s laboratories have conducted extensive coatings research for the US Navy,
the
Federal Highway Administration, and numerous commercial clients. The coatings laboratory is primarily used to develop customized performance testing protocol
and is also capable of standardized quality control and performance tests.
OCRC has an extensive array of corrosion test chambers and outdoor exposure facilities.
The Laboratory has the capabilities for fabrication and preparation of painted test samples. A machine and tool shop is used for fabrication of samples to simulate the intricacies of industrial equipment. Our surface preparation equipment includes immersion baths for pre-treatments, tools for hand or power tool cleaning, and abrasive blasting equipment. Our painting facilities include a walk in spray booth, ventilated sample curing area, various conventional spray equipment, and several configurations of airless spray equipment. |
