Specific Expertise:
Under contract A, Corrpro provided interoperability, test and evaluation and trial support to NAVSEA's anti-fouling coating systems development program. This program focuses on finding an underwater hull anti-fouling coating system, which will allow for a 12 year life-cycle while meeting strict environmental (VOC and Underwater Discharge Standards (UNDS) standards. Support for this project included oversight of large scale test platforms which entailed performing application of coating systems to ships, monitoring the progress of the system, characterizing and enumerating the types of fouling present, reporting on findings and making recommendations based on basic scientific and engineering principles. Other support for this program includes administrative tasks, data management for all test and evaluation trials, and writing technical papers on behalf of the working group.

Under contract B Corrpro tested the water tightness of Navy loudspeaker assemblies that included a new type of gasket, the Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) gasket. The speaker assembly was subjected to the National Electrical Manufacturters Association (NEMA) Test for Protection Against Ingress of Water (Hosedown) [NEMA Standards Publication 250-2003, Enclosures for Electrical Equipment (1000 Volts Maximum) - Section 5.7]
