Specific Expertise:
The Corrpro team has extensive experience in engineering, system engineering and process engineering support. Under contract A, Corrpro has performed many tasks supporting Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) funded initiatives that include Cost Initiatives Labor (CIL) and Engineering for Reduced Maintenance (ERM) programs. Through the CIL program Corrpro supported efforts to reduce ships-force labor in regular ship maintenance painting through the implementation of wear-resistant coatings in high traffic areas onboard ships. To evaluate the wear-resistance of candidate coatings systems, Corrpro investigated improved wear test methods. Corrpro has also assisted NAVSEA in developing and revising military specifications for coating systems. Through the ERM program Corrpro was the sole contractor to develop a Tank and Void Inspection Guide for NAVSEA. The Tank and Void Inspection Guide provides published guidance to accurately assess tank coating system conditions and provides port engineers decision modules to help determine if the coating system is in good condition, needs repair, or if full replacement is required.

Under contract B, Corrpro provided program support to the United States Marine Corps (USMC) Corrosion Prevention and Control, Pre-Deployment Corrosion Prevention (PCP) team to: evaluate the specific needs of vehicles systems prior to deployment, determine the materials and equipment necessary for successful corrosion preventive compound application, determine associated costs (of application and maintenance avoidance), and develop documentation including application process instructions and quality assurance requirements."
