Specific Expertise:
Under contract A, Corrpro, in support of the USMC Corrosion Prevention and Control (CPAC) Program, developed and conducted safety training for performing 1st echelon maintenance of USMC vehicles and weapon systems. This training dealt with specific safety requirements and concerns with respect to safely working in and around these vehicles, use of the equipment to perform corrosion-based maintenance, maintaining material usage and disposal logs and safety training/incident reporting requirements. The outcome of this was a job-specific safety manual developed by Corrpro personnel that had undergone OSHA and HAZWOPER training. In addition to safety training and development, Corrpro also implemented the quality assurance (QA) program to inspect assets treated by the CST. This program reviews the technical requirements of the CST charter, reviews the work of the team members, identifies areas of deficiency and instructs team member on corrective actions. This process has allowed for the identification of errors as they occur and has effectively reduced operator errors from 10-50% per week to consistently less than 10%.
