Last year, a Madison, Wisconsin wastewater treatment plant experienced its second internal piping leak prior to calling on Corrpro to assist in solving the problem. The leaks occurred on the final effluent discharge lines going to a critical pump in the system.

Corrpro's subsidiary, Rohrback Cosasco Systems, provided its exclusive B-Scan ultrasonic testing on all of the piping for five critical lines. The testing was completed in less than one day and indicated problem areas in all of the lines even though leaks had only occurred in one.

Based on the data obtained from the B-Scan survey, the utility is now able to schedule preventative maintenance shutdowns to repair the deteriorated sections before further unexpected, costly failures occur which would otherwise compromise the plant operation.
